—Moraga is an excellent school district. Enthusiastic, well-prepared students come every day from loving, supportive homes to learn from energetic, well-qualified teachers. Many of the distractions that exist elsewhere do not exist in this district.

While none of us do this for the money (see the salary schedule), it should be possible to raise a family on a teacher's salary in Moraga. We didn't support the parcel tax to see the money stashed away or used for administrative salary increases.

Although beginning teachers are paid relatively well, compared to the three districts around us, pay for 9th-year teachers in this district ranks last. Administrative salaries rank first. Out of 25 districts in our area, ninth-year teacher pay ranks 19th (see comparisons to other districts)...
