Bay Area Stage Productions is comprised of non-professional actors, directors and technical experts from the Bay Area of Northern California. Under the artistic directorship of Jeff Lowe, it aims to provide local performing talent with further opportunity to develop and practice their craft and to provide audiences theatrical exposure to the work of notable writers that they might not otherwise have the opportunity to experience.

David Dierks
Technical Director
 |
Our Technical Director chair is now most ably filled by the very talented and innovative,
David Dierks. Dave is never seen on the stage unless he has a screw driver and is putting it together. He is, however, often seen lurking behind a sound board or lighting board (and sometimes both at the same time.) Dave is instrumental in the long-time success of the Orinda Starlight Village Players. In addition to working with his wife Jill at running tech, box office, and popping popcorn for OSVP; Dave works as a graphics designer and a custom mask maker.Jill is a veteran of all aspects of theater for many, many years - She has a B.A. in theater arts from Santa Clara University - and is an active member of the Orinda Starlight Village Players where she acts, does the publicity, runs the box office and concessions, runs lights, and is secretary on the board.

Scott Slagle
Marketing Director
 |
Scott Slagle loves every aspect of the theater world! From acting, singing, directing, "tech-ing," and even the business side of theater. He studied theater at Solano College back in the late 80's and he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business, and an Associates of Applied Science in Accounting. Scott's love of theater goes all the way back to 3rd grade when he was cast as the "Woodcutter" in a Christmas play at school. Since then he has worked with various theatrical groups including Vacaville High School Drama, Solano College Theater, Firehouse Theater of Grand Forks, ND, Crookston Community Theater of Crookston, MN, Fairfield Civic Theater, Missouri Street Theatre, and of course most recently Bay Area Stage. Scott is extremely excited to be a part of the Board of Directors for Bay Area Stage and looks forward to working with this most talented group of people. |

Lorraine Slagle
Public Outreach
 |
Lorraine Slagle prefers to work "behind-the-scenes" rather than "onstage," however, she has peformed onstage in the past (playing a gypsy in a ninth grade production of "Young Dracula") and has enjoyed singing in church and at different events though the years. She has been an advocate of the performing arts through volunteer work in ushering, box-office, setup, and fundraising for several different theatrical events, and also by supporting her actor/singer husband Scott through the years. She has many years of experience working with non-profit organizations and has a real knack for organizing fundraising events, creating public awareness and reaching out to the community. She is excited to be working with her husband and with the Bay Area Stage production team in the capacity of public outreach and fundraising director. |

Love Letters is a Pulitzer Prize for Drama nominated play by A. R. Gurney. The play centers on just two characters, Melissa Gardner and Andrew Makepeace Ladd III. Using the epistolary form sometimes found in novels, they sit side by side at tables and read the notes, letters and cards - in which over nearly 50 years, they discuss their hopes and ambitions, dreams and disappointments, victories and defeats - that have passed between them throughout their separated lives.
